VACCHO State-Wide Aboriginal Health Worker and Practitioner Gathering 2025

VACCHO invites you to join us for the 3rd VACCHO State-Wide Aboriginal Health Worker and Practitioner Gathering 2025.

This gathering is for Aboriginal Health Workers and/or Practitioners (inclusive of trainees) working in both an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation (ACCO) or mainstream health setting and participate in the VACCHO Aboriginal Health Worker and Practitioner Network.

Our gathering is designed to facilitate the sharing of knowledge, insights, and experiences among Aboriginal Health Workers and Practitioners from across the health sector in Victoria. This event will provide a platform for you to engage with fellow professionals, learn from distinguished presenters, and participate in enriching cultural workshops.

What we provide:

  • Accommodation from Monday 17th March 2025 until Friday 21st March 2025
  • Tuesday 18th 2024 and Wednesday 20th 2024: breakfast, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea
  • Tuesday and Wednesday night dinner with non-alcoholic drinks
  • Room security (you should not be asked for your credit/debit card upon check-in)
  • On-site parking

What we DO NOT provide:

  • Travel to and from Albury – this will need to be covered by your own organisation
  • Dinner on Monday and Thursday
  • Alcoholic drinks (there will be alcoholic drinks available during dinner at your own expense)
  • Mini bar and room service etc. (these services, if provided by the hotel, are at your own expense)

Staying COVID-19 safe
We look forward to seeing you this weekend. As GPs and health work professionals, we know all too well the importance of keeping COVID-19 Safe. Therefore, we strongly recommend that, before you travel to the Gathering, you do a RAT to ensure you are COVID-19 free. We will have plenty of RATs and masks available for use over the weekend. Do not hesitate to leave early during the weekend if you or a family member become unwell. VACCHO’s priority is to keep everyone safe and prevent spread of infectious diseases. We also recommend staying at home if you’re experiencing any of the following symptoms or any other infectious symptoms:

– fever
– chills or sweats
– cough
– sore throat
– shortness of breath
– stuffy or runny nose.
– loss or change in sense of smell or taste
– nausea and vomiting
– diarrhoea
