Access to sufficient food is a universal human right. Despite this, Victorian Aboriginal people are more likely to experience food insecurity. To help address this VACCHO has partnered with SecondBite, a food rescue organisation who redistribute surplus fresh food to local agencies such as Aboriginal Community organisations. A series of Aboriginal Community Food Program ‘Success Stories’ have been collected from these organisations. In 2014-2015, SecondBite’s fresh food training programs will be tailored for the Victorian Aboriginal community.
