The Victorian peak body for Aboriginal health and wellbeing has called on the Victorian Government to take heed of the recommendations of the Royal Commission into the Protection and Detention of Children in the Northern Territory.

Aged Care review highlights changes needed to meet the needs of Aboriginal people

The Victorian Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (VACCHO), the peak body representing the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal people in Victoria, welcomed the release of the Legislated Review of Aged Care 2017 report and urges the Government to adopt recommendations which promote accessibility and equity in the aged care system.

The review, led by David Tune AO PSM, was conducted to monitor progress of reforms legislated to the aged care system in 2012.
