Quality, Risk, Compliance and Safety Project Coordinator

This position is responsible for the internal auditing and leading the successful accreditation of VACCHO approved Quality Management System (QMS) ISO 9001:2015. This role provides leadership regarding the QMS as well as supporting and guiding VACCHO in meeting their quality responsibilities.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Experience leading accreditation audits and assessment through the development of internal audit schedules and experience ccoordinating action for quality system gaps, improvements, suggestions/recommending solutions through the relevant internal governance processes
  • Experience managing incident reporting, complaint handling, corrective and preventive actions program, system for signalling unsafe situations, hazard identification and risk assessment system incident and accident registers
  • Experience integrating and supporting continuous quality and risk management initiatives across organisations, with a focus on effective change management
  • Highly developed written communication skills, with proven ability to prepare a range of documents including business proposals, reviewing and drafting contracts and reporting
  • A flexible and agile approach, including the ability to effectively prioritise, to meet changing circumstances, competing demands, interruptions and deadlines.

Manager, Strategic Projects

This position will be primarily responsible for leading project management and drive operational development and change management activities with a particularly focus on new initiatives in social and emotional well-being. The position will lead, facilitate, develop and deliver professional development, project management and provide change management implementation support.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Knowledge and understanding of, or the ability to acquire knowledge of the issues affecting the health of Aboriginal Australians

  • Have proven experience and background in program and project management, business analysis and risk mitigation

  • Proven experience in managing and implementing change management initiatives as part of project delivery 

  • Have experience supporting staff understand and prepare for and implement changes and reform, ideally in the area of Aboriginal social emotional wellbeing, that will impact on the business, its stakeholders and Aboriginal Communities

  • Highly developed written communication skills, with proven ability to prepare a range of documents including business proposals, reviewing and drafting contracts and reporting

  • A flexible and agile approach, including the ability to effectively prioritise, to meet changing circumstances, competing demands, interruptions and deadlines.

Strategic Projects Manager

The role will work collaboratively with staff in the Population Health and Sector Development Unit to lead the implementation of key projects, operational development and change management activities. The position will facilitate, develop and deliver professional development, project management and provide change management implementation support. In addition to the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of key projects, the position will focus on the development and growth of the skills of staff in the Unit with an emphasis on embedding consistent and supportive systems (e.g. CRM, activity management system) as well as reporting, compliance and accreditation requirements.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Proven experience and background in program and project management, business analysis and risk mitigation

  • Proven experience in managing and implementing change management initiatives as part of project delivery

  • Proven experience of working alongside, coaching and training staff and managers to improve measurement systems and embed learning practices as part of continuous improvement

  • Highly developed written communication skills, with proven ability to prepare a range of documents including business proposals, reviewing and drafting contracts and reporting

  • A flexible and agile approach, including the ability to effectively prioritise, to meet changing circumstances, competing demands, interruptions and deadlines.

Public Health Project Officer (Clinical)

  • Maternity Leave replacement
  • Provide high level clinical advice to an innovate team,
  • Maximum term contract, 9 months, Part-time (0.6FTE)

The role supports clinical quality improvement in VACCHO Members across Victoria to improve services and health outcomes. The role will also support the work of the VACCHO Public Health Medical Officer. The position supports VACCHO’s focus on improving the quality of health services to Aboriginal Victorians through continuous quality improvement processes, sector capacity building and advocacy to governments.

 To be successful in this role you will:

  • Demonstrated understanding and commitment to Victorian Aboriginal health, Aboriginal culture, and the philosophy and practice of Aboriginal Community Control;
  • Experience within Aboriginal Community Controlled Health, primary health, or community health environments;
  • Clinical qualification including nurse, medical practitioner, Aboriginal Health Practitioner, Aboriginal Health Worker, or allied health worker.
  • Demonstrated project coordination and evaluation experience, including the ability to identify barriers and provide solutions;
  • Interest and demonstrated experience in supporting clinical quality improvement activities and/or leading change;
  • Knowledge and understanding of the issues affecting the health of Aboriginal Australians, particularly public and primary health;
  • Highly developed written communication skills, with proven ability to prepare a range of documents including business proposals, reviewing and drafting contracts and reporting;
  • A flexible and agile approach, including the ability to effectively prioritise, to meet changing circumstances, competing demands, interruptions and deadlines.
