Close the Gap Day is an opportunity for organisations and community to hold events and raise awareness of the Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander health and education crisis. More than 40 national organisations came together in 2006 to form Australia’s largest ever campaign. The aim of the campaign was to improve the health and educational prospects of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples.
