BSB42015 Certificate IV in Leadership and Management

Why should I choose this course? 

This course is for developing and emerging leaders and managers. You will learn about how to assume responsibility for your own performance, but how to provide leadership, guidance and support to others. Organising and monitoring team output is also part of the competencies in the course. How to apply solutions to a range of predictable and unpredictable problems and analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources is also included

The skills and knowledge from the course could lead to roles such as a Co-ordinator, Team Leader and Frontline Manager

Entry Requirements

There are no entry requirements for this course. However, it is advised that candidates are in an established team leader work role or aspiring to be, to support the application of skills and knowledge in the achievement of assessment outcomes. Ongoing support in LLN and other learning needs, based on initial testing against the requirements of the course, is provided to ensure that each student has the opportunity to achieve outcomes. Candidates who are not in the workforce would have additional assistance, time and resources devoted on a needs by needs basis, including a one-to-one delivery mode. Sound written communication skills are required to complete written tasks. Candidates also need well-developed organisation and self-management abilities in order to incorporate the study load and be able to work independently

The duration and training delivery

The course is run over 12 months but can be adjusted on an individual needs basis. Blocks of two to three-day face-to-face workshops are delivered approximately monthly, with additional review days scheduled as needed. On the job activities and off the job workshops, work-related projects and self-paced materials are the delivery modes.

One to one follow up will be available between workshops for students who indicate a need for further support
